Customized Lessons to Fit Your Needs
Thesis Findings
In 2014, I completed a thesis on the dysphonia treatment-seeking and hygiene practices of professional singers (perhaps unsurprisingly called, "Dysphonia Treatment-Seeking and Hygiene Practices of Professional Singers: A Descriptive Study"). The purpose was to determine 1) what do singers do when they feel they are losing their voice? 2) at what point in the voice loss process do they begin to introduce changes in their routine? and 3) to whom are they turning to get advice about what methods to try? Results were analyzed by voice style, age, region, length of years in the profession, and history of voice disorder.
The Big Differences
“At first I was apprehensive about learning with a private teacher. But after just 5 minutes of my first lesson, I quickly got over my fears and began to appreciate the first-rate attention and guidance.”

“It’s not easy to find a teacher who is patient with beginners, but The AEA SLP is definitely one of them!” My children have learned and enjoyed themselves so much, and love sharing their new skills with me.”
